Germany clears its day-ahead electricity price each day at 12:00 CET via the Single Day-Ahead Coupling (SDAC) pan-European auction. The Germany–Luxembourg bidding zone (DE_LU, EIC 10Y1001A1001A82H) is the canonical price reference. This zone has been a separate ENTSO-E bidding zone since 2018-10-01. Day-ahead electricity prices in the Germany–Luxembourg bidding zone are cleared once per day at 12:00 CET on the EPEX/Nord Pool/OMIE-operated SDAC pan-European auction. The clearing price represents the marginal cost of supplying one additional MWh in each hour of the next delivery day.
