Most market data served by this site — through the MCP tools, /api/*, /download, and every chart — is sourced from the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform and republished with source attribution as required by the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform Terms & Conditions of Use (version of 29 March 2023). This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by ENTSO-E. Great Britain market data comes from separate sources — see Great Britain — Elexon BMRS data and Great Britain — NESO Data Portal data below.
ENTSO-E publishes a List of Data Available for Free Re-use (version of 18 October 2023). Datasets on that list may be re-used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC-BY 4.0): attribution to the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform is required, and any changes must be indicated. Of the datasets served here, the following are on that list:
imbalance_pricesimbalance_volumescrossborder_flow. Exception: data provided by the IFA and NemoLink interconnectors (Great Britain borders) is excluded from the free re-use list.net_transfer_capacity_dayaheadload_forecastprocured_balancing_capacity_afrrChanges made by this site to those datasets: timestamps are converted to UTC and values are stored as typed columns; aFRR capacity prices are normalised to EUR/MW/h (the platform publishes EUR/MW per settlement period); optional hourly/daily/monthly aggregations are computed on request. Underlying values are otherwise passed through unchanged.
The remaining datasets served here are not on the free re-use list. They are republished from the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform with source attribution under its Terms of Use. No licence for onward re-use is granted or implied by this site — if you redistribute or commercially re-use them, assessing whether and how you may do so (including any rights of the primary owners of the data, such as power exchanges for auction prices) is your responsibility.

It is republished under Elexon's Licence to use BMRS open data, which permits redistribution and commercial re-use with the attribution below. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Elexon.

Great Britain balancing-service auction results served here come from the NESO Data Portal, published by the National Energy System Operator. It is republished under the NESO Open Data Licence v1.0, which permits redistribution and commercial re-use with the prescribed attribution below. Belgian balancing-capacity auction results served here come from Elia Open Data, the open-data portal of the Belgian transmission system operator Elia. It is republished under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC-BY 4.0), which permits redistribution and commercial re-use with attribution. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Elia.
balancing_capacity_price_afrr_eliaRequired attribution when re-using this data: Contains data from Elia Open Data, licensed under CC-BY 4.0. Changes made by this site: bid-level auction rows are aggregated per delivery product, then flattened onto Elia's native 4-hour delivery blocks — each block carries the capacity held during it (the sum of every product whose window covers it, since the 24-hour and 4-hour products overlap) and those products' award-weighted price; timestamps are parsed to UTC and values are stored as typed columns.
Danish and Nordic reserve-capacity results served here come from Energinet Energi Data Service, the open-data platform of the Danish transmission system operator Energinet. It is republished under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC-BY 4.0), which applies to the platform as a whole and permits redistribution and commercial re-use with attribution. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Energinet.

Changes made by this site: prices are taken from the source's EUR columns (Energinet also publishes DKK, which is not stored); wide per-direction and per-leg columns are reshaped into a categorical direction / product column; timestamps are read from the source's UTC column and values are stored as typed columns; underlying values are otherwise passed through unchanged.
The GB hourly day-ahead auction price served here (day_ahead_price_imrp) is the Intermittent Market Reference Price from the Low Carbon Contracts Company Data Portal — the price used to settle intermittent Contracts for Difference, calculated as a volume-weighted average across the two GB day-ahead auctions (EPEX SPOT GB and N2EX). LCCC is the UK government-owned CfD counterparty, and the dataset is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which permits redistribution and commercial re-use with attribution. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by LCCC. Note: raw EPEX SPOT and Nord Pool (N2EX) market data is proprietary and is not served here — the IMRP is LCCC's own OGL-licensed publication.
Required attribution when re-using this data: Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Changes made by this site: local settlement-day/period keys are converted to UTC timestamps and values are stored as typed columns.
Baltic reserve-capacity auction results served here come from the Baltic Transparency Dashboard, the joint transparency platform operated by the three Baltic transmission system operators — Elering (Estonia), AST (Latvia) and Litgrid (Lithuania). It is republished under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC-BY 4.0), which permits redistribution and commercial re-use with attribution. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Elering, AST or Litgrid.
balancing_capacity_balticRequired attribution when re-using this data: Contains data from the Baltic Transparency Dashboard (Elering, AST, Litgrid), licensed under CC-BY 4.0. Changes made by this site: the source's country × product × direction matrix is reshaped into one row per zone, reserve type and direction, with the reserve type and direction moved into categorical columns; timestamps are requested and stored in UTC; values are stored as typed columns. No aggregation is applied — every value is the source's own 15-minute figure, unchanged.
Computed metrics (capture price, capture rate, baseload price, negative-price hours, residual load, RES share, spreads) are calculated by this site from the source data and are the maintainer's own work.
