What this site logs, in plain words.

The short version

• No accounts. Everything — the website, the MCP server at /mcp, the JSON API — is anonymous. There is nothing to sign up for, no password, no API key.
• No cookies. The site sets none. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
• No ad trackers or analytics scripts. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no fingerprinting.
• Server-side request logs only — described below. That is the entire data footprint.

What is logged per request

• Web access log (every HTTP request): timestamp, IP address, request path, status code, referrer, user-agent. Used for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and basic traffic stats. Kept for 90 days, then deleted.
• Tool-call log (MCP and /api/*//download calls): timestamp, tool name, the query arguments (endpoint, zone, date range — i.e. the content of your query), status, duration, row count, the caller's IP address, an ephemeral session identifier (the Mcp-Session-Id header), and the connecting client software's name and version. Used for debugging, capacity planning, and aggregate usage statistics. IP addresses and session identifiers are erased from this log automatically after 12 months; the remaining technical record identifies software, not people. If you send personal information inside a query argument, it lands in this log — the tools never need personal information, so don't.
• Derived usage statistics. A nightly job reduces the logs above to daily counts (calls, visitors, errors) plus, per IP address, the date it was first seen. First-seen entries are erased on the same 12-month schedule; the daily counts contain no IP addresses.
• Rate-limit counters for /mcp are keyed by your MCP client's session id (plus a per-IP safety net). These counters live in memory in the proxy and are not persisted.

Third parties

• Google Fonts. Pages load the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts from fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com, so your browser makes a request to Google that discloses your IP address to Google. This is the only third-party request the site's pages make. The MCP transport and JSON API involve no third party at all.
• Feedback form (optional). If you use it, the message text (and reply-to email, if you give one) is stored server-side and forwarded to a private Telegram chat so the maintainer is notified. No IP address is stored with the submission or forwarded. Submitting the form is the consent.
• Hosting. The server runs at Hetzner Online GmbH (EU, Finland). No third-party CDN.

Using this via an AI agent

When you connect an AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, …) to https://entsoemcp.com/mcp, the tool calls your agent makes are logged as described above — tool name and query arguments, tagged with the calling IP (typically your AI provider's gateway, not your own machine). Your conversation with the agent is never sent here; only the tool calls are.
